WIB 1.3 certification on jTOP MaXim WIB 1.3 64K

Indeed, the card has passed the test on WIB 1.3, following the SmartTrust specification and has been approved by SmartTrust Certified™. Thanks to that, Bantry Technologies is, now, one of the few companies that can offer independent applications to achieve the requirements of mobile operators. It is the confirmation that Bantry Technologies is one the leading companies in the SIM OS market and that its commitment in research and development gives excellent results.

Bantry Technologies’ X-tended SIM Backup Card

Bantry Technologies is delighted to offer to the market their new X-tended SIM Backup Card "Ximkup" - an innovative and easy-to-use product allowing the user to backup SMS messages and contacts on one SIM card.

With the Ximkup you can now store contacts from your business phone into one phonebook and contacts from your private mobile into another on the X-tended SIM Card. Or additionally, you might want to back up the phonebooks and the most important SMS messages from your family.

In contrast to already existing products allowing this kind of functionality, Bantry Technologies’ Ximkup enables the user to store several phonebooks of different mobile phones on one SIM Backup Card. The user-friendly application on the card makes it easy to switch between the different phonebooks and SMS storage areas to ensure an even better and more efficient way of managing the user’s contact data. Moreover, in the case that one of your phones gets lost or the memory is deleted by a mistake, you will not lose your contact information, as you will find them saved on your Ximkup.

DRM Solution Project

The DRM solution project is a joint project between Bantry Technologies and Simulity to create a highly secure DRM (Digital Right Management) standard solution to ease secure distribution of digital content in the mobile device environment. This DRM solution is based on a SIM based application and the OMA DRM v2 standard that allows to provide, consume and distribute digital content on handsets in a secure and interoperable way.

The OMA DRM v2 secure agent architecture offers higher distribution schemes, security and flexibility for the operators as well as more control for content providers. Operators can implement innovative subscription plans such as renting the content to the subscriber and creating digital content libraries. End- user will benefit from the portability of this solution, as they can port their rights and profile from one phone to another with plastic roaming. Besides, DRM solution is disposed to modification and different architectures to maintain other DRM schemes. Additionally, the solution can also be customized in order to support different handsets and architectures.

The first successful implementation has been made on a Windows Mobile handset presented in a demonstration on the Celtic Event Exhibition in Dublin last week with additional partners.

Bantry Technologies and Simulity are now licensing this implementation on Java Cards and handsets and planning to port it on multiple architectures.
